The Death Penalty
A documentary filmed in a high security prison in South Carolina. A diptych portraying two convicts: a black man (Larry Gilbert) and a white man (Ronald Smart), both on deathrow, both convicted of murder and armed robbery. The Pros and Cons of capital punishment are presented via arguments from the various parties involved: the District Attorney; Family members of the victim; Members of the perpetrators’ family; The defense attorney, etc.
